A Compassionate Space for Healing and Growth
Welcome to The Thought Sanctuary, counselling based in West Sussex, a space where you don’t have to hold it all together and can simply be yourself.
Your Space
Everyone’s journey is different, and there’s no set timeline for healing, some things take longer to unravel than others, and thats okay. This is a space with no pressure to arrive with the right words, or to have it all worked out before you start.
You’re welcome to bring the parts of yourself you usually keep hidden, the contradictions, the messy bits, the things you’re not sure how to say out loud yet. Nothing needs to be tided up first.
Whatever pace that takes, you’ll be met with warmth, respect, and genuine care throughout.
Hi I’m Stacey, an integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP offering a warm, inclusive, non-judgemental space where you can feel seen, heard and supported.
Diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of my practice. My practice is neurodiversity affirming, and a gender, sexual, erotic and relationship diversity (GSERD) affirming.
My approach is trauma informed and grounded in the belief that healing happens through honest connection, both with others and within ourselves.
A core inspiration for my work comes from my grandmother who lived with depression, and was also a deeply loving generous person. She taught me that people are never just their diagnosis or their hardest days, there’s always more to who you are. Thats something I hold onto in every session: whatever you’re carrying, I’m here to see all of you not just the struggle.
I work with adults who want to make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and find more sustainable ways to care for their emotional wellbeing. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. Together we’ll move at your pace.
About Me:
A Holistic Approach to Therapy
How I work:
At the heart of my practice is helping clients develop emotional, behavioural and somatic awareness, noticing not just what you think and feel, but how past experiences and relational patterns show up in your body and in the way you relate to yourself and others now. We will approach all of this with curiosity, compassion and non judgment, creating space for greater choice, healing and self understanding.
Maybe you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious without quiet knowing why. Maybe you’re carrying a grief that people expect you to have “moved on” from. Or you’re exhausted from holding it together for everyone else. Maybe you find yourself questioning who you are, or feeling like you’re constantly explaining or justifying yourself, even to yourself. You don’t have to carry it alone.
You might be here because of :
Anxiety or depression that’s hard to shake, even when things “look fine” from the outside.
Questions about your identity or culture that feel hard to name, let alone explain to someone else.
Grief, loss, or a life transition that’s changed how you see yourself.
Relationship patterns or self-esteem struggles that keep repeating , no matter what you try.
Our work will focus on building insight, self trust, resilience, and self-compassion, supporting meaningful change, gently in a way that feels right for you.
