A Compassionate Space for Healing and Growth

At The Thought Sanctuary, I offer a space where you can truly be yourself. As an integrative counsellor based in West Sussex, my practice is rooted in the belief that healing starts when you are fully seen and your lived experiences are recognised and respected. I honour the complexities that have shaped your life, as well as your cultural, social, and personal identity, ensuring you feel supported exactly as you are.

Your Space

I believe everyone’s journey is unique, and that healing unfolds in its own time. My holistic approach acknowledges the deep connection between mind, body, and emotions, creating a space where you can explore your experiences with care and self-compassion.

Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you. I will meet you where you are and support the development of insights, resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

In our work together, you’ll find a supportive, trauma-informed environment where you can grow at your own pace. No matter what brings you here, I will meet you with warmth, respect, and a commitment to your well-being.

Hi, I’m Stacey. I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be yourself and explore what matters most to you.

A core inspiration for my work comes from my grandmother, a remarkable woman who, despite living with depression, was one of the most joyous and giving people I’ve ever known. Her ability to bring love and connection to those around her, even amid her own struggles, taught me an invaluable lesson: that even in our hardest moments, there can still be meaning and connection.

Her life showed me that healing isn’t always linear. Growth often happens in the most unexpected ways, sometimes in moments of contradiction and complexity. It’s through these moments that we can truly evolve. This understanding shapes the way I approach therapy, embracing both the light and dark parts of our experience. Even in our hardest moments, we can find joy, love, and meaning while navigating our inner challenges.

I aim to create a space where you can explore both your challenges and the meaningful moments that coexist alongside them, allowing for deeper understanding and growth.

About Me:

A Holistic Approach to Therapy

How I work:

My approach is rooted in the understanding that you are the expert in your own life. I am here to help you uncover insights, gain new perspectives, and navigate your path toward healing and growth.

At the heart of my practice is a focus on emotional awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. Whether you are navigating a major event, life transition, identity exploration, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, anger, or relationship challenges, we will work together to build clarity and cultivate a sense of presence, self-acceptance, and confidence in responding to life’s challenges.

I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach, recognising the deep connection between mind, body, emotions, and lived experience. Therapy should meet you where you are, honouring your identity and personal history while creating space for growth and transformation. I also understand how past experiences and relational patterns shape the way we connect with others and see ourselves today. By exploring these influences with care and curiosity, we can develop healthier, more compassionate ways of relating to ourselves and those around us.

Above all, this is a space that respects and values your unique experiences. You are welcome exactly as you are, and together, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
